Dear Lord,

I want to pray for Stacy. Even as she's facing some trouble at work. Lord that You go before her. Bring about reconciliation of relationships, and also lead her as shes thinking about a new job.

Pray for Rita, that in the midst of her busyness at work, Lord You help her to keep her eyes on You. Remind her why shes in the school and help her to make an impact everyday in the lives of her students.

Pray for Brenda, even as she awaits her Uni application results, that you grant her peace. Give her wisdom to make the best decisions and help her to continue to seek you before all things.

Pray for Hannah, that she be grounded in her identity in You. So that she might have a clear sense of purpose and calling in her life. Bless her in her schoolwork and relationships.

Pray for Alex, that you uplift her spirits. Remind her of your great love for her and give her a peace and confidence that only You can give.

Pray for Chloe, that in the midst of everything trying to get her attention, she'll find a focus in her life, that is in You alone. Help her to be able to come to CG weekly.

Pray for Yi Cheng, that you help her to see in in her life each day. Even though circumstances might be tough, but Lord You fill her with hope and joy.

Pray for Marvin, that Lord You draw him back to You. Remind him of how he fell in love with You and Your Word in the past.

Pray for Benjamin, that You help him to settle down, and learn to rest in You. Help him to recognize that You are the one who have given him the many gifts.

Pray for Marcus, that you grant him wisdom in school. Stay close to him always and help him to love Your Word more each day.

Pray for Timothy, that you'll build deep within him a strong foundation of Your word. That he will continue to grow and serve You.

Pray for Linus, that You draw him close to you, and to help him find a sense of belonging in Faithfulness and CYM.

Pray for Kian Nam, that he'll allow himself to be transformed by You. That he'll grow in patience, love and joy from deep within. Bless his relationship with his family.

Lord may you bless Faithfulness richly, bless each one of us with an intimate relationship with You. Draw us close if we're far, comfort us if we're hurting, lead us if we're doubtful, challenge us if we're stagnant, refresh us if we're weary, still us if we're restless.. and finally Lord bind us all in Love and unity. Let this CG be a place of Life for all who come. Amen

Our Daily Faith

Hey Faithfulness!

I attended my first CG session today..
turns out that this group has just been started and i happened to contact the guy just in time..
As a result.. a grand total of 3 people turned up..

The leader of the group is a guy called Simon Howard..
The other guy is from Germany and he's called Tobias..

Even with the small numbers.. I'm so thankful that God has allowed me to find a place to settle in. I'm also reminded of the fact that at the beginning.. Faithfulness CG was made up of Hannah, Chloe, Benjamin and Marvin. It is truly by God's grace that we are called into fellowship with Him and with one another...

Lets not give up the habit of meeting with one another.. Even when the upper-sec stress levels increase.. CCA demands and our commitments threaten to overwhelm us.. remember that God sees and God will bless your faithfulness in attendance.. Because we chose to meet with Him and with fellow Saints.. IN THE MIDST of our busyness..

Truly prayer is something i need to work on myself.. Lets learn to be persistent in our prayers.. Knowing full well that God hears and God will answer.. Remember also that there's a difference between saying our prayers and praying.. Ask ourselves this question: How many times do we pray a day? When we wake up? Before meals? When we are about to sleep? When we need help?

I miss spending time with you guys..

Spur one another on... pray for one another and encourage one another.. Mayb someone is just waiting for you to ask.. "how may i pray for you?"

the most busy day of my this week

hi guys,

I'm feeling very tired currently and almost closing my eyes soon. Today is my worst day of the week. I end lesson at 3.20 and then straight away went for my Amaths tuition making me damn tired and exhausted. Btw i got 9.5/10 for my POA(principles of account) it is considered bad! I had a careless mistake. zzz.... hai quite disappointed in myself. tomorrow is my A-maths test and I hope I can at least get a A1 if not full marks cox i really put in all my effort already and i really hope i do well. If not i might cry! haha. My teacher told us that this test will be damn difficult and i freaked out hoping that i will do well and not fail. okok tomorrow another busy day but not so busy la. Have badminton training till 6 then have tuition at 8. I have 5 tuitions in a week. Do pray for me. Pray for strength and wisdom for me k? thx! :D

So like how Jesus actually bothered to see Zacchaeus (wah his name is super difficult to spell haha), I learnt that we should try to not take for granted people around me, even if they are just an aunty cleaning my table!

Hey dearies, yay to the new year and first cg session! I have summarised our goals yups! :)

CG GOALS
1. Grow deeper in our relationship with God and each other
2. To be committed members and actively participate in the cg
3. Get to know people outside cg
4. Respect each other
5. Remember individual roles
6. Have two more peeps to join us! (Everyone to actively ask at least one person to come)

Hi Faithfulness!!!!

First cg session of 2009! yey! I don't know about you... but i'm really excited to have new additions to our cg this year (Daye, Kevin, Jeanette, Kian nam). WELCOME!!!!

First all all, really wanna thank all of you for sharing one (or more) of your goals with the CG today. Really glad that many of you seek to draw closer to God (be it doing regular QT or learning more through BS) and I believe that if we are faithful in seeking Him, God will also honor our desire.

I think all of you have matured and one of my hopes for the cg is that we will have a deeper level of sharing and accountability with one another.

So the first thing that you can do is to post regularly on this blog! Do share with us what happen during the week, how you see God in the little things, and (as kevin mentioned earlier) your PRAYER REQUESTS!!!! As I have shared, one of my goal is to pray for each CG member every week. Please post your prayer request to help Stacy fulfill her PERSONAL goal for the CG ok? If I can't meet my goal, its all your fault ah. Hee hee hee.

Dearest Faithfulness! I'm here in Finland already.. will blog really soon as soon as blogger stops error-ing =).. anyway.. Looking forward to see how much u guys have grown when i come back. Lets not be satisfied with our current levels of discipleship.. but seek the Lord and plunge deeper into the Word. Pray for one another and encourage one another! =)

10 things i would like to see in 09:
1) Kevin, Daye, and Jeannette fitting in nicely, and building relationships with the members!
2) Rita, Stacy and Brenda challenging the members and pushing them really hard in their discipleship.
3) Closer bonds, a real sense of Godly fellowship and deeper sharing of our lives.
4) Greater hunger for God and the passion for God's people to come to Him
5) Chloe and Marvin (and everyone else) coming for UMAD
6) Everyone serving in one way or another.. joining a ministry team perhaps
7) Marcus, Benjamin and Hannah taking steps to playing in CAT
8) The CG become more prayerful. Just like how u all prayed for me before i left! Let prayer truly be part of you!
9) CG growing by at least 2 more members
10) A deeper understanding and knowledge of the Bible

i still dont get it, we're supposed to go to OBS in sec 3?

Everyone thought OBS is some death camp lah, but actually overall quite okayyy :D
At least we survived?

i think the stupidest thing i didnt do there was buy their shirt....
i dont know leh, i thought the price was a bit dumb, $17/18 for one shirt?! ._.
haha anyway i didnt bring enough money so i didnt buy... maybe its a good thing? 塞翁失马？
who cares. everyone scolding me why i didnt buy the shirt when i go there -.-
cause its one in a life time thingy to go to OBS =.=

Lets see, the OBS thing was 5 days long, we didnt get to bring in any tech inside as they wanted us to go "back to basics"
also dont let us bring in any tidbits wahaha.
Wa lao, i went to pass them my handphone and a small packet of oreo biscuits
Then Jared and Issac own lorh, go hide their handphone.
Jared champion, bring in erm, lets see.. 1 big pack of seaweed, erm, 2 big packets of potato chips?
think JacknJill cant remember le. :/ then still got prawn crackers and 1 big packet of cuttlefish :O

Maybe ill write my whole trip in OBS camp luh. now nothing better to do... :/

Day1:
Left school, slept in the bus... :D
reached the OBS reception area (still on the mainland)
Waited there for like 1+ hour... -.-
Then we were grouped, my group was with Liang Kun, Libo and Daniel (GROUP 7 YAY)
then regrouped with other classes so other classes the group 7s joined us.
Therefore my group all aphelion *whew*
Group 7: Me, Liang Kun, Libo, Daniel, Jared, Issac, Benjamin Goh, Kevin, John, Justin etc etc

Reached Pulau Ubin in some boat... full of spiders :D
finally reached there and then we followed our group instructor, Teressa
Do some really crappy stuff like asking what were our goals and stuff
We also did some ice breakers....
But kinda useless, whats the point? we knew almost everyone -.-
One of the questions i kind of remembered was: "whats one thing you want to achieve down here"
Everyones answer: "TO SURVIVE 5 DAYS HERE" (hehe maybe some havent said byebye to their gfs :] )

Then we spent the other half of the day doing admin work like packing of food, unloading of bags, Appointment of ICs and other leaders
I ended up as Quarter master -.- With Benjamin Goh.... :X

Then the only thing we did on Day 1 which was exciting was um, the teachin of us to rock climb?
BUT IT WAS JUST BELAYING!!! wth!
we climbed less than 2m off the ground
and had to belay down...
Needed to learn how to belay and stuff -.-
Why? Reason was cause we were gonna Rock climb this really really big wall on Day 3...
Group 7 ended up the last group ... :/

Therefore, we got the instructor kinda pissed...
The instructors at OBS seem to have high expectations of HCI people...
Everything we do, they'll say, YOURE HCI! YOURE BETTER THAN OTHERS. WHY ARE YOU DOING IT SO SLOW?
i mean like, wth!
Then group 7 had to pitch tents late in the forest.
Yes, i really mean forest -.-
We were in camp 1... AND HAD TO WALK INTO THE FOREST JUST TO PITCH TENT =.=
a bit dumb. only a bit lahhh :D
we went lateeee... :/
when we were walking to our camping spot, Hoe Kang's group were just coming downnn
Dots!
When we reached there, it was about 6.45pm
We still havent learnt how to pitch the tent at that point of time so... :/
yep, took 15 mins to learn... Kinda easy cause it was a Dome Shaped Tent. supposedly easier to pitch.
WHO CARES, we pitched A-Shaped Tents in Sec 1 camp xD
Sian, by the time we finished learning, the place was turning dark.
finished pitching around 730.
Kinda dark then, especially in the middle of the forest.

How to pitch a tent:
1) Find a good spot (DUHHH) xD
2) Look out for any half broken branches which are going to fall
3) Look out for any hornets/bees nest
4) Look out for any Ants nest.
5) Look out for where the wind's blowing (or else REALLY HOT)
6) Look out for which way your door would be opening. (you dont want to wake up in the middle of the night and open the tent door to bang into a tree -.- )

Yep, and then youre ready to pitch your 4 man TENT YAYYYY :D

Slept at 11pm... YAWN.
omg, i think i died in that tent.
we pitched our tent on a slope.
Tent mates were 2A people :D Me,Daniel,Liang Kun,Libo

Sian, Liang kun slept at the top of the slop, Daniel at the middle, me a bit below daniel, and Libo at the bottom.
WTH DANIEL ROLLED ON TO ME WAHAHAHA
and i got squished between Daniel and Libo...
AND IT WAS DAM HOT
NO WIND AND WAS REALLY HUMID.

RAWR.
sigh, all in 1 day at OBS. no pillow, no bolster, no mummy. HAHAHA

Day2:
Woke up the next morning at 5+ am
just to unpitch tents.
HOW TO UNPITCH IN PITCH DARKNESS...
Good thing we went through sec 1 camp at serimboon (or however you spell it)
and learnt you need powerful torches in ourdoor camps -.-

Sigh, last group to unpitch and leave campsite. :/
Ate biscuits for breakfast.
Actually, We ate biscuits almost everyday for every meal except for dinner where we cooked our own rice, which would get burnt.
LAMEDUCK. :/

After breakfast, we learnt how to kayak
Learn capsizing near land,
and far from land in deep sea. =.=

nothing much happened on Tuesday cause um, nothing much happened? xD
maybe during the journey back to camp 1, (from the capsizing training area) Libo tried to overtake our Kayak and then um, Flipped his own ;D

Last group again.
Instructor pissed off le. say we not good enough, about how she cant believe HC so noob.
Said about how she would feel unsafe after trusting her future in us as future leaders -.- LAMEDUCK.

who cares.

At 9pm we packed our stuff into OBS backpacks to go for some 3km Nighttrek to our next campsite. wth.
20kg Backpack for those without bottles, 25kg for those with bottles. (2L bottes which OBS issues out)
sigh, i carried My stuff+Liang Kun+Daniel's stuff all in one backpack ;D + 4 2L bottles=8Kg extra
Instructor said if any of our backpacks didnt feel like at least 20kg, they wanted us to carry the bottles.
Good thing i already had 4 bottles ;D
LOL before we even left, our shoulder suan le...
Hopefully we get use to it, which we eventually did
3km trek into the darkness began....
Started off as the last one, Ended up first. FInally Instructor happy with us...

the 3km trek took about um, 1+ hours.
but seemed like 5 hours... so tired... zzz
Imagine carrying at least 20kg on your back while walking through some forest with many mozzies :D
Who knows, might have dengue there :O

At least we finally reached there as the 2nd group :D

Had kind of good wind (for then only)

Wahaha i remember on tuesday night, i woke up to find my socks drenched with dew, i walked out of my tent to get my bag to get new socks, when this Anonymous guy came up to me (iSpark) and begged me for a shovelling tool.
Obviously i didnt have it cause erm, my group was too lazy to bring? so i said no...
Then he nodded and zao...
5mins later he came back and begged me almost with tears in his eyes :"Do you have toilet paper?"
I shook my head...
And then he tried to keep his cool, although it was kinda obvious he was crying...
like omg, outfield without toilet paper and needing it really badly... OUCH.
but i seriously had no toilet paper cause my group didnt bring any either x]
yep, after he walked away, i dont know what happened of him... :/
He seriously looked dam dam pitiful :O

Sian, Tuesday nothing nice also la, just learn how to kayak, which was fun... Kind of. xD

Day3:
Woke up next morning, New socks redrenched with dew. WTH.
Good thing i brought loads of socks ;D

Continued trekking with our 25kg backpacks...
For the next 9 hours, from about 9am till about um, 4pm... :X
My team of um, Me, Liang Kun and Timothy and Alcander had to be the navigators and stuffs for some part of the journey... :X
sian...
We climbed some hill to the peak of Ubin and after seeing the clear blue quarry we needed to shout what we thought we had strength in...
AND THEN CAN HEAR CLEAR ECHOS COOLLLL

Anyway from up there you can clearly differenciate Singapore and Malaysia
Singapore got Concrete Jungle. um Malaysia normal jungle. ;D

Whew, walked like um,
In pitstops: 3km+4km+2km+1.5km+4.3km+3km=17.8km
:/
not fair.
Group 6-9 needed to walk 17.8km for 8 hours while 1-5 only walk like less than half of that -.-
Sean told me their group walked from 11am-2pm? huh.... They walk straight to camp 2 after going to the highest peak of Pulau Ubin...
Nevermind, at least walk until shuang shuang ;D

YAY reached camp 2 at around um, 4+pm...
Did debrief and then went to cook our dinner and prepare the tents.
HOW GOOD FOR US, WE FOUND OUT AT 730pm THAT CAMP 2 HAD TOTALLY NO ELECTRICITY
After pitching tents and eating, the toilet was pitch black.
WTH!!!
EH ITS DAM SCARY TO BATHE IN PITCH DARKNESS... especially in a toilet with cockroaches and lizards all around you...
ZzZ halfway bathing, Heard Issac shout: " #&^%!!! who the &^%# do his big business in the *&^%ing drain!"
Cause it was those toilets which had a connecting drain at the bottom... i mean like to drain away the water or something...
EH LIKE WTC, a piece of that smelly stuff was floating lah... altough pitch black can still use torchlight see :O

whew bathe finished liao, heard someone shout.
WHERES MY UNDERWEARRRR :O

YAY DAY 3 FINISHED....
Slept with extra people in my tent, Jared and Benjamin Goh
A 4 man tent housing 6 people...
A bit squishy... Only a bit... xD (sacarsmmm)

Day4:
Woke at 4am to prepare our kayaks.
OUCH...
prepared to kayak the whole of pulau ubin in 5 hours... :/
xiao!!! especially when it was raining... :/
Natalie told me they kayaked from Camp 2 to 1 onlyy...so good :X
wahaha nevermind lah, kayak whole ubin more fun... :D
Threwed into the kayak 1 orange, 1 pack of ovaltine, 1 bun in wrapper.
Survive on that till noon :/

I had to partner Liang Kun cause Daniel too pro, must help other people... :/
Yawn, kayak for like 3 hours liao, around um, 9+am finish only half of ubin zzz :/
Then somemore at around 10+ the tide will become high, which means it will be hightide -.- (stating obviousnesses) :D
Plus the half journey of Ubin we had the current helping us along... But now the Current was against us since we were circling Ubin... !!!
DIE.
SOMEMORE THAT PART GOT LOTS OF JELLYFISH
rahhh, thats scaryyy...

Anyway kayaking rules are that we should not go near kelong, wait the dogs there jump onto our boats.
Thats kinda true cause whenever we passed by, the dogs will bark at us and then sometimes they jump into the water... :/
wahaha not as bad as jellyfish lahhh :D

While paddling got to catch some fish by scooping them into our boats.
Nicholas caught a swordfish look-a-like baby thingy...

but swordfish? TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE.
i caught a kind of squishy fish in my boat.
i think the whole of ubin was about 20km? i not sure... i hope im not exaggerating but the instructor showed us the map and the boxes and stuff each box=1km so 20 boxes=20km?
i dont know...

lol, after that we sang the school song and conduct songs to action that we kayaked the whole of Ubin.

Group 1-5 slack again, kayak to Ubin village the instructor said they took too long so they kayaked back :/

wahaha, Heard from group 2 that Yi Ren slept while Kayaking with Liming wahaha... :D

HongSeng got headache halfway through, couldnt continue, got towed by the speedboat. :/

as if we're not depressed enough ;D
After saying byebye to the instructors we left Ubin and got home to see Junda, Aaron, Kenneth and Louis looking so clean so we went to hug them :D

Got results already then go home zzz
Got my father to fetch me :D
Yep, went home to sleep.

One thing i successfully got back was a cut on my finger.. :D i dont need to go cca :D

Hi Faithfulness!

First of all.. let me CONGRATULATE all of u.. for completing Sec 2!! (Sec 1 for Chloe..) =) its amazing! haha.. cant believe you guys (boys).. will be wearing long pants next year already.. (except Benjamin) hahaha... =) in a blink of an eye.. Rita and i have been with some of u (Hannah, Chloe, Marvin, Benjamin) for almost 3 years.. nice!

Marvin will be in China till ...... (i dunno when).. lets remember to keep him in prayers.. for safety as well as an enriching student exchange experience!

Thanks Alex and Marcus! i felt u guys did a great job with the frisbee station on games day.. =) looking forward to all of u serving actively.. hehe

November is EVANGELISM MONTH!.. pls start inviting your friends.. invite them for CG sessions from next week onwards k. For this week, we'll be sharing and praying.. as well as icebreakers!

We gonna have icebreakers coz we have a New Friend!! =) His name is Xie Yu.. he came for the games day last week and will be joining us... lets all make him feel really really welcome ok? Be nice! I don't know much about him.. will let him intro himself.. hehe.. be friendly and open this week ya.. all i know is that he is 14.. but just completed P6.. coz he came from China many years ago.. =)

Oh ya.. i must apologise!... coz sch work is really terrible and i wont be able to give one weekend to have our mini-retreat ... i've told Marcus and Alex that its pushed back till last weekend of nov earliest.. gives u all more time to plan! I hope to see ALL of u involved in the planning ok? yes tat includes Linus and Chloe! haha.. who've been the quietest people around..

meanwhile.. do remember to spend time daily in prayer and devotion... no more exam as an excuse.. remind u all to take discipleship seriously!! Mentoring buddies.. can meet up on ur own just for fellowship rite?? =)

Exams are here! But don't be too-stressed, do your best and allow God to do the rest.. =)
as i said to Marvin, Marcus and Tim the other day, "When we work, we work. When we pray, God works".

Yup, so continue to spend time with God daily, all the more when we feel there is no time. Priorities k... so i hope none of us skips church on Sunday coz of the exams period.

Having said that, i know we are probably not in a good frame of mind to have Bible study.. so this week, we'll just come together and have a short time of prayer and sharing. Bring your books/notes if you want to study together k. We can also play games if u all want.. yup. so let me know what u all want =)

Hi Faithfulness!

I'm sure u guys had a good time in CG last week without me.. (better get used to it!) haha..
anyway, i'm so happy to be able to share a bit about the Young Methodist Leaders Conference i attended over the weekend with u guys.

Basically, i had the opportunity to interact, share and learn with youth leaders from other Methodist Churches. I also attended a series of talks and workshops on the theme Relentless Leader - Disciple.

I was reminded that a leader first of all is a disciple of Jesus, and i'm so excited to say that the conference has a been a refreshing experience with regards to firing up my passion for God's Word! God also pointed out to me what i have been lacking in my spiritual life. Oh man, i can't really put it in words but i know its such a great privilege to be serving Him as a CGL in CYM.

I really hope to have a more prayerful CG, upon hearing the wonderful testimonies from others. Praying that Faithfulness can be a CG that has a strong prayer foundation.. =)

Bible Quiz is this coming SUNDAY! BE excited!! study Judges 1 - 16 ok?
We'll be split up into groups, and everyone will be required to answer questions, so no escape!
Bring a change of clothes coz u might get wet ya?

In case u guys dunno yet, we raised more than $5000 for Chai Hwa's Mission to Japan! (exceeding our expectations!) Truly God is a God of abundance, pouring His blessings till our cup overflows. Praise Him! continue to support and pray for Chai Hwa ok?

Lastly, would like to encourage all of u to BLOG! haha.. not just tag...
*no point commenting that the blog is dying and not trying to revive it!*
So i hope everyone can blog at least once every 2 weeks k.. i'm sure u all want the CG to grow closer. =)

Afterall, we're the hosts =) Bring sports attire k.. it wont be dirty or wet.. but theres a bit of running around according to Chai Hwa..

Hi Faithfulness CG!

Fusion 08 was last week! Marvin was the only one who came for both the day and night events.. and i'm sure he learnt quite a bit rite? =) The Sex Forum was quite interesting, an honest discussion with regards to teen pre-marital sex. Many opinions and thoughts were shared in a non-threatening way and i felt that the talk was rather good! (even though it was a LITTLE bit long.. haha)
We then went outside where many booths and stations were set up.. and the experience of going through the Prayer Labyrinth and Missions Booth were really interesting. (ask Marvin if he enjoyed it!)
Of coz for the night rally, Hannah came with her SC friends. We were led into a time of Worship by the TRUTH Ministry Team and Pastor Alvin Chan spoke about Intimacy with God. HOMEWORK! Hannah(nite) and Marvin(day) please blog about what you learnt and your experiences at Fusion 08 ok? so the rest of the CG can benefit =)

next exciting thing!
OUR CG IS GROWING! Praise God!
Yi Cheng joined us yesterday for CG and words cannot express the gratitude i feel.. knowing that God truly does answer prayers.. =) lets ALL go out of our way to make her feel part of us.. and take initiative to make her feel comfortable!
We welcome Celina! she joined us for the very first time yesterday.. her family is joining our church so shes here! =) again lets extend our love to a new member of our CG!

The story of the gardeners

In a land not so far away..
There is this garden, filled with various seedlings and saplings from various kinds of plants... and tending this garden are a bunch of gardeners..

The gardeners really hope to see the plants grow up tall and strong..
so they decided that they will...
water them often...
give them the nutrients and fertilisers they need..
keep and eye open for bad stuff like weeds that can choke their growth..
tie a supporting stick to those with weaker stems..
protect them from heavy thunderstorms..
provide them with as much sunlight as they can get..
walk around to check on them often to see how they are doing..

they also decided to build a fence around the garden that can help keep out animals tat could trample on and destroy the young plants..
they did this coz they feel tat its important to set limits to try and protect each individual plant and also the garden as a whole.. from things tat are destructive to the garden..
although building the fence under the hot sun might be hard work.. but they believe that to protect something so precious.. some sweat is worth it..

ultimately.. the gardeners also realise this is all they can do... and tat whether the plants will flourish or not actually all rests in God's hands.. what they try to do is to try their best to create a favourable environment..

Hi everyone...this is the list of goals and expectations that we have laid down! If today's session of ground rules scared you all, don't be! :) Anyways I decided to summarise everyone's goals into one big thing. So the main gist of what we want for faithfulness are the following:

1) To grow closer to God and have a deeper understanding of the bible and God
2) Have Quiet Time Regularly
3) Faithfulness to be bonded, united and to love each other
4) To have dependence on each other with our daily struggles
5) Faithfulness to grow in numbers as well as spiritually
6) Commitment to the CG in terms of attendance, participation

And yups just want to tell you peeps that you girls and guys have become a cg that I would really want to get to know better over the years. May 2008 be a year of sharing, growing, laughters and love.

this Sunday.. 130108 is CYM's 6th Anniversary!! Whoo hoo! Praise God for his faithfulness..

Hopefully we'll have our very first FULL ATTENDANCE CG photo! nobody is allowed to disappear! if you're in a ministry team (eg FIT).. note tat they will be taking photos also..

what an exciting week!

First of all.. lets welcome a new member into our CG!
*round of applause for Timothy!*

i'm sure we will all know more about one another in time to come!

It is also really encouraging to know that the sign up for Christmas Outreach is really good.. pls do continue to extend invitations to your friends who have not yet come to know Christ.. =) It'll give me more headache coz it means i'll have to figure out how to squeeze everyone into Auditorium.. but its a good problem to have! Indeed the Lord blesses us till overflowing!
Very importantly.. remember to pray!

Its also nice to have our GB friends over with us in CG.. this helps to build relationships and hopefully we'll have a few of them joining us in time to come.. in the meantime.. Those of u who have friends from GM BB/GB.. we need u to be a link up! introduce them to Faithfulness CG! especially those who're not attending any churches.. =)

anyway,what're we suppose to post on this blog? i'll just write what happened in school today ok? >.<
Sian la holiday also need go back school cause got meeting... tomorow on friday also.... anyways while we having a meeting my friends and i went to play pranks... liang fu should have done all this crap when he was young i guess... if not dong... ^^ well we asked one of our group members to search something inside a kinda big cupboard (those wooden ones which carry equipment...) since it was kinda empty he shifted some pieces of paper looking for some "stuff" we ask him to find then when he bend in deep enough we pushed him in and locked him inside with the help of a long metal pole placed across the cupboard door lol... he stayed in there for over 1 hour while we went to go play cards ^^ cause the guy we pushed in was a "goodie" as we call him and wouldn't let us play cards in school one la... we play over 1 hour + then we heard teacher coming so we quickly took the pole out from the cupboard and we kept our cards... i guess my friend in the cupboard also heard the teacher coming as he kept like dead silent... he suay la teacher so happen come up to go check the cupboard lolx... when teacher opened the door he got shocked and almost fell over then after recovering from the shock he scold my friend in the cupboard for playing such a prank on a teacher LOL... anyways maybe next week my friends and i going to chalet and go movies... not confirmed lolx... =( maybe go LAN but it will be difficult =(

IS THERE A GOD?

Hi Faithfulness!

for the benefit of Marcus who wasn't here the other day, and Marvin who left early... i thought it would be a good idea to post what we learnt on Sunday!

We were discussing the topic: "IS THERE A GOD?", and i'm very happy with the intellectual (haha) discussion tat came out.. let me summarise the points k?

Firstly, we all came to the conclusion that, just because we cant see something.. doesnt mean it doesnt exist! After all, we cant see electricity, heat, emotions etc etc.. But we can see their EFFECTS.. =) Similarly, we can point to God's presence be looking at what he has done..

1) Intelligence, Design and Order
- We can recognise things tat are designed.. (like Stacy's HP).. a watch.. flowers.. the Earth as a whole.. each and everyone of us!
- Some things are too complex to have come about by accident
-Mutations (as in evolution theory) does not produce new information.. so something simple like bacteria.. will not become something as complex as us..
- even though living things adapt to their environment.. we do not evolve to another species altogether..

the Bible tells us in Psalm 19:1 and Romans 1:20 that "The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands." ... indeed so that we "men are without excuse".. cant deny that God has made!

- we all possess unique personalities that no other living things have!
-Genesis 1 : 26-27 says that we are made in the image of God
- this agrees with the fact that we humans have the ability to have such complex emotions.. values.. morals... to love etc...
-God is the source of our unique personalities and character

3) Our Conscience
- killing another human being is just an example of what we consider UNIVERSAL values and laws..
- it seems that throughout the world.. no matter where we are from... we all seem to have a common set of things we consider "confirm wrong!"
- Deuteronomy: 32:4 tells us that God is just and upright.. again agreeing with the point that we are made in His image..
- God gives us a sense of conscience.. to discern right from wrong!

4) Existence of Religions
- human beings are a religious bunch!
- we'll instinctively find something to worship.. be it idols.. different Gods.. even things like trees or rocks.. Yes.. even money... remember the Golden Calf that the Israelites wanted to make after they were freed from Egypt?
- in the biblical days, Apostle Paul was in Greek where he realised the many God the Greeks have... it is the same now in our Asian context..
- if someone give particular honour to something.. that thing becomes his or her God.. occupying first place in his/her heart
- Ecclesiastes 3:11 says that God has set eternity in the hearts of men...
- this means we will naturally seek to Worship something.. and God actually uses this... because He wants us to seek Him and Worship Him!

Let me just add that it is the call of every child of God to help the people around him/her see that God exists!.. not by quarelling or arguing your way through.. but if an opportunity arises to speak to a doubtful friend.. y not help him/her find out more??

Dear passer-by,

Would just like to say that your comment on the tag board was not only irresponsible, but also extremely rude.

This Faithfulness CG blog has served us so well with regards to upholding one another and keeping in touch. It enables us to share our daily happenings, stressful moments, even our emotions with one another. We have grown much closer since the beginning of the year, and most of the credit goes to each and every CG member's sense of ownership and accountability. They know that they must be responsible for what they say, and that CG unity is of utmost importance. I will therefore not tolerate any form of anonymous personal attack on any CG member.

Marcus is being very honest with us. Even though he does not think that he has much to boast about in his exam results, he still chose to be so open with us. I would like to encourage all of us, that this in fact is what the Christian walk is all about. Having fellow brothers and sisters in Christ who'll accept us despite our weaknesses and to walk alongside us to support us. Will be such a brother or sister?

As such, may i ask that no more such pointless comments be seen on the blog. Let this be a place where Christian love, acceptance and encouragement is expressed through whatever we post. hi guys i am marcus, this is my half SA2 results:
english:- paper 1: 31.5/50
english:- paper2: 18/30(compo) (letter writing still dun noe)
maths :- paper1: 30/50
maths :- paper2: 32/50
maths :- 62/100(overall)
science:- 47/100( this paper i already knew that i will fail cox it is super difficult that more than half the class fail)
chinese :- paper1: 47/70(this paper i am quite happy that i got this mark cox alot ppl fail)
chinese :- paper2: 14/20(letter writing)
chinese :- paper2: 32/50(compo)
chinese :- oral: 29/40
chinese :- 67/100(overall)

My mother is quite furious with me now for getting such lousy results and i also pray that god will let her understand that I DID MY BEST!

hi everyone!

it was such a bad day for me! today my leg muscles were aching and the worst of all let me tell you all! It was my last period which means i can be dismissed after this lesson so it was in between the changing of period between maths and science my friends and i were dismantling a calculator which belongs to my another friend and i was like turning back as my best friend and i was dismantling the calculator which belong to my another friend so at this time my another friend(not the owner of the calculator) took my pencil case away and hid it and when i turn around i saw it went missing and i knew for sure that my friends were playing a prank on me! I look around for my pencil case and a few of my friends also helped me with it then we still cant find it i cannot tolerate any more so i told my science teacher. Then he asked the class and a few students went searching for it. Then within seconds my pencil case was found it was behind one of my classmates bag. But the thing is that he was not the one who took it and you all may ask why but it is a long story so i cut it short. It was the another friend who took it and place it there. I feel very fustrated!!!

hello everybody!!! Marvin tell you ar! now i action! haha! let me tell you all my week! This week is quite a fruitful week as i learn quite alot of things! i also did my revision for my SA2. My maths teacher changed liao!!! haha i very happy... but this teacher marking very strict. my previous teacher gave us a class test before the September holidays. then she did not tell us to write any statement so the whole class did not write. And so after the holidays my previous teacher still did not mark so she pass to my new teacher to mark. and so she mark as her standard!! almost the whole class failed! because of those stupid statements... Grrr....
My Prayer Requests
1)My 1st prayer requests is to be a good servant leader to serve god
2)Secondly is to be able to study hard for the incoming big exam
3)Thirdly is to take away all my distractions
